Sarah Illiatovitch-Goldman (she/hers) is an artist, educator and activist and is thrilled to be back working with Project: Humanity! Sarah first worked for PH from 2009-2012 doing random jobs of all kinds - including but not limited to being a teaching artist in youth shelters, a high school tour coordinator, a commissioned playwright, and once ran a PH Gift Wrapping Station at Yorkdale Mall at Christmas time.

Since that time Sarah has primarily been based in Chicago working in storytelling. She spent 4 years on the literary team of Steppenwolf Theatre Company helping to see the fruition of 6 world premiere productions. As an educator, Sarah has worked as an adjunct professor of playwriting and script analysis at The University of Illinois – Chicago, in high schools and elementary schools, in summer camps, and prisons. For 5 years Sarah was the Director of Hearts to Art, a performing arts program for young people who have experienced the death of a parent.

Gaby Chanen (she/her) is a Toronto-based artist. She recently graduated from the University of Toronto, where she earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, English, and Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity. There she developed her performance craft, and connected with Project: Humanity as an intern.
Having grown up around the world, Gaby has always been passionate about learning about other cultures and histories, and believes in the power of theatre in sharing these stories and empowering communities. She has been engaged in the arts in intersection with social justice for over 7 years through youth activism and research, theatre creation, and creative writing.

Catherine (she/her) is an experienced arts outreach facilitator and has worked extensively with both marginalized communities as well as executive level business clientele. Catherine has experience in theatre production and not-for-profit business administration. She completed much of the transcription for The Middle Place and has been a major part of developing Project: Humanity's approach to interview transcription. 

Catherine now resides on the West Coast.

Antonio (he/him) is an actor and arts facilitator , as well as a Co-Founder of Project: Humanity. Past credits include Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Canadian Stage), Jude in The Innocents, and Project: Humanity's The Middle Place. His experience as an arts and outreach facilitator has seen him work with youth groups from Soulpepper Theatre Company and Canadian Stage, as well as in various TDSB classrooms, most notably Bishop Strachan Academy, Havergal College, City Adult Learning Centre. 

Antonio now resides on the West Coast.

Michael Derworiz (they/them) is an actor, arts educator, and organizer from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis Nation. They are a graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Program and later trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, leaving early to perform in the Canadian premiere of Things I Know to Be True.

They are a co-founder and curator of Art Pop-Up, a performance series that has showcased a wide range of mid-career and emerging artists since 2019. Michael is thrilled to be working with Project: Humanity, a company that aligns with their personal ethos, in this new communications capacity.

Andrea (she/her) has spent over 30 years in the cultural sector, working on both the producing and funding sides of the industry in dance, theatre and opera. In 2000, she transitioned to leadership after seven years in arts education (Shaw Festival, COC, Laidlaw Foundation), when she became Administrative Director of Dancemakers. This led to 16 years in dance management, including eight as Managing Director of Toronto Dance Theatre. Most recently, Andrea was Managing Director of Tarragon Theatre.

Throughout her career, Andrea has volunteered on many arts council panels and boards, including seven years on the board of the Toronto Alliance of the Performing Arts (TAPA), the last three of which she served as President. She is a recipient of the Leonard McHardy and John Harvey Award (2021) and is currently a proud volunteer mentor to a Loran Scholar.
