PH: Drama Drop-In
Theatre workshops for Youth-On-The-Margins promoting self-discovery and self-expression
““I think when everyone leaves the room there’s still that connection, like we all bonded. It may not last the whole time we’re here, but it builds relationships and stuff. There could be people you don’t talk to and just because of that one workshop you went to you guys are like talking, you guys are like seeing each other every day. That happens here, like there’s a couple of people I met here in workshops and now when I see them it’s like ‘hey!! [Waves excitedly]’”
We’re excited to announce that, thanks to the generous support of the Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation, we are relaunching the PH: Drama Drop-In at Youth Without Shelter in the Fall of 2023!
The PH: Drama Drop-In is for youth aged 16-29 and is offered at no cost to the youth communities we’re working with. We’ve been doing this since 2007 and have worked with over 1000 youth-on-the-margins in shelters and schools across the GTA.
As of January 2020, we have been running programs at Youth Without Shelter and SKETCH Working Arts. PH’s professional artist facilitators show up every week for a 90-minute group session.
